Your wedding is your special day! Planning the perfect wedding ceremony for you is my number one priority. I can help you think through all of your ideas until we are absolutely sure that the ceremony we design together is exactly what you had dreamed of. Every couple is different ( and thank goodness for that!) so there is no pre planned formula for how your wedding will look and feel. Nothing is ever too much trouble to make things perfect for you.
I've had lovely feedback from couples (some reviews below) about how closely I work with them to make sure that their ceremony is unique and reflects everything that is important to them. If you are local to Glasgow (or Zoom if not) we will meet up before you book me so that you get the chance to make sure that I am the right celebrant for you. Once booked, I'll guide you through the whole process helping you think through various options for your ceremony. We will think through potential symbolic gestures like handfasting or quaich drinking! We'll also chat about readings/poetry, your wedding party and how they might be involved, photographers/videographers, music and of course the all important signing of the marriage schedule! Your ceremony script will be ready for you to approve around six weeks before the wedding.

Anne was fantastic to work with from the start, she provided us with all the information we needed and gave ideas to make our ceremony special. Anne was always available to answer any questions we had and arranged a meeting to chat through everything before the big day. On the day Anne made our day so personal and special. From the minute we met Anne we knew she was the one to conduct our wedding ceremony. She made us feel instantly at ease and we knew our ceremony was in good hands with Anne behind the wheel! We booked Anne to conduct our wedding ceremony following reading her profile on the HSS website. She was absolutely brilliant from our initial point of enquiry, and even invited us to her house to conduct both of our meetings, which made the process feel wonderfully personal. She wrote us the most beautiful, personalised ceremony which told the story of our relationship so beautifully. Naming and welcoming ceremonies are such a special time in the life of a family. There can be no greater gift than bringing together all of the key people in a child's life to demonstrate their commitment to them. This could be in many different contexts like a new life, a new transition in life or a new family. In a fun but truly authentic way we will plan a wonderful ceremony for your child which represents exactly your wishes. As the proverb goes 'it takes a village to raise a child'. At your naming ceremony, you will be acknowledging your own 'village' where everyone will be making a commitment to supporting your child on their life's journey.
There will be many different elements of the ceremony which we can discuss and agree. All of which are completely led by you. This includes parent and guide parent promises, readings/poems, music, symbolic gestures, keepsakes, naming certificate. Most of all we will make sure that the ceremony is enjoyable and memorable for all who participate.
