Thank you so much for looking at my profile, I live in Inverness with my husband, 2 children and wonderful dog Skye. Originally from Glasgow I have travelled a lot in my previous career and feel so privileged to have settled in this beautiful part of Scotland. I’m also so privileged to now have the best job in the world as a Humanist Celebrant. To me humanism is a simple concept, it’s about unselfishness, kindness and consideration to others. It is ensuring we respect our fellow human beings and look after this amazing world in which we live.
Humanist ceremonies are unique, and that is what makes them so special. It is your ceremony, and it is you who makes it special. I’m simply here to encourage you to tell me the stories about your life. I then put them all together to create a personal and sincere ceremony (hopefully with some laughter thrown in). I love meeting new people and am genuinely interested, and often educated, by learning about your lives.
I was inspired to train as a Celebrant after my dad’s funeral. Amongst the period of sadness that surrounded his death I look back on the funeral as a day of celebration and happiness as we honoured his life. I wanted to do for others what the wonderful celebrant did for us, not just in times of sadness but also in times of happiness and joy.

Wedding & Civil Partnership Ceremonies
I love weddings! From meeting you for the first time, to planning your ceremony through to the day itself. It is an honour to be trusted with this important role. Your ceremony will be completely tailor made and should be as unique as you are. It is an opportunity to celebrate your love and the journey you have travelled as a couple to get to this point. Your ceremony can be as relaxed or formal as you want. Living in the highlands means I am close to some of the most amazing venues and locations, and I am equally happy in a big wedding venue as I am on a beach or on top of a mountain.
I love that each ceremony is different as it should be as every couple is different. But what they all have in common is love and the commitment that you are showing to each other. I feel so incredibly privileged to be part of it.
Naming & Welcoming Ceremonies
Naming ceremonies are so much fun! What is better than celebrating with children. It is a perfect opportunity to welcome a new arrival to your family and friends. They can be held anywhere, in your home, in a park or in a restaurant for example.
I will spend time getting to know you and your child to write a unique and personal ceremony. We can include symbolic gestures and get others involved in the role of guideparents. The aim is to create a fun, yet also meaningful ceremony to mark the special day.
