I'm a sports-mad, big bike buff, globetrotting chap with a love of the wild, natural history, dogs, horses and all the good things in life...an optimist, an all-round-believer in no such thing as an ordinary life. A Swiftie and a feminist too. I like to have a laugh - often. My motto?...live long, love lots, try anything. Be kind.
I've had a full and varied work career; 36 years in UK & International Policing, Solicitor's Agent, Sports Project Coordinator, Tennis Coach, Bus Driver, Racquet Stringer, Malt whisky tasting presenter, nude model, Tournament Referee, Transport Manager at London 2012 Olympics, (what an experience that was!) 6 years working in Iraq as a Forensic Programme Consultant, Barman, Course Instructor, Truck Driver, sportswear & equipment retailer...wind-up Dad and irritating Granda too!...visited over 65 countries...lived in London, the middle east, Edinburgh and the Highlands...the list goes on and on ! Experience all you can in life!
I am now a fully trained husband of 54 years (really?), dad to a mad working working Cocker Spaniel (Lucy) and Humanist Celebrant available throughout Scotland. I have conducted over 1500 ceremonies over the last 10 years - and all over the country from Gretna to Shetland, even Northern Ireland!
But if you want to fly to the Maldives for your wedding I'm happy to come too!
My Humanist beliefs are coupled with my vast experience of working with people in various roles for over 50 years and have added, not only to my caring nature, but strengthened my strong interest in helping people. I've experienced tragedy and triumph and always look for the positives.
